My husband surprised me with a lovely birthday dinner for two last evening catered in our home by Chef Garrett Adair.
It was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. I can't say enough positive things about our meal and the experience of having Garrett prepare the 5 amazing courses which we devoured with absolute delight. He also selected 3 perfect wines. We often dine out and especially on special occasions but this was a new experience which far surpassed any meal which we could have had at a five star restaurant.

"Meal was amazing. But before that, he made the process very simple. Had a discussion about what the event was for, allowed us to ask questions about what he does and the types of foods he works with. Much of it was locally sourced. We selected a four course dinner and he threw in an awesome dessert! We also went with some wine pairings for each course out of his wine club. Let me tell you everyone loved it. I can honestly say everything was prepared to perfection (he came out and talked about each course), but I think the favorite were the scallops! If could've had just those, would've been happy. But the pulled port was great, the filet cooked quite well. The service overall was excellent. Great staff! If you are looking to do something a little out of the ordinary or splurge a little, he's your guy!!!

Chef Adair prepared a private dinner for me, my husband and 4 of our close friends during our stay in Napa. He was very accommodating when assisting me in planning the menu to ensure that everyone would enjoy what was prepared. Chef Adair was very kind, has a great sense of humor and was very interactive with our group. The food was beautifully prepared, the portions were perfect and the flavors were amazing. 12/10/2017: Chef Adair and his crew made the most amazing dinner for my 40th birthday. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic! I love to cook and he went through each dish and gave me tips for cooking. It was so great. Great service, beautiful food and the best I've ever tasted. There's a picture of me licking the bowl from our scallop meal. I can't stop thinking about it. If you have a chance to hire a private chef you can't go wrong with Chef Adair. This experience went above and beyond our expectations. —

We had a wonderful experience with chef Adair! He and his assistant Diego went above and beyond to make our day perfect! They blended perfectly into the background as to not distract from our special day, were interactive when appropriate, had great energy, were relaxed about our timeline, and most importantly, cooked some delicious food for us!!! The icing on the cake... chef Adair brought along his camera and took some beautiful pictures for us! He and Diego were so super sweet and did an awesome job! If there were 6 stars I would give that rating! Chef Adair prepared a 5 course meal for my 40th birthday dinner for 11 of my friends. It was the highlight of my birthday weekend and one of the best meals I have ever had. He was great to work with and he and his team were fun and professional. Five stars is as good as it gets. However, six stars would be more appropriate. Chef Adair was extraordinary, not only in the kitchen, but also in the preparation of our surprise dinner party for my wife's birthday. Not only did he execute an exquisite 6 course menu, he paired it beautifully with the wines I currently had in my cellar as well.

We hired Chef Adair and his assistant to cook for our group of 8 who were vacationing in Napa Valley from Miami. From the start, he was very flexible and accommodating to everyone's likes and dislikes when creating our menu. Additionally, he helped us select wines to pair with our meals based on the wineries we had planned to visit.
The overall experience was fantastic! All of the dishes exceeded our expectations, from the vodka ceviche, to the porcini dusted filet mignon and everyone's favorite the espresso and chocolate creme brûlée.
I strongly recommend Chef Adair for any dinner party!! The food was outstanding and he has a personality to match!! We hope to be able to repeat the experience with him in the near future. — Javier M.

Chef Adair was part of the expert team that made my intimate winery wedding the stuff of dreams.
From the minute we hired him, he was professional, fun, committed, and attentive to every detail. Chef Adair was by our side as we selected wines for the 6-course meal we had planned for our guests--which was such a fun experience and gave him the opportunity to get to know us and incorporate our personality as a couple into the dining experience we wanted to create for our guests.
My husband is a country boy and avid hunter, while I am a Paris-loving City girl. Chef Adair adeptly created a gorgeous menu that reflected both of our tastes--he also sourced game and figs from our ranch to make the experience even more personal. It was a lovely homage to where we call home and was the kind of touch that very few accept the challenge to do. The end result was a beautiful menu that was both interesting and luxurious.
It was also fantastic that with each course, he would take a moment to come out and speak to our guests about the course, the thought and inspiration behind it, and tasting notes. Our guests absolutely fell in love with him.
It is no exaggeration to say that Chef Adair was instrumental in making our wedding dinner magical. Our 14 guests still talk about that night and remark on how amazing the meal was--which is rare when it comes to your typical wedding dinner that consists of rubbery chicken and tired, uninspired menus.
If you love food and want to create an unforgettable dining experience for your intimate wedding or dinner party, hands down, Chef Adair is your man!

We had Chef Adair in our AirBnB this week in Kenwood, CA and what a night! He created a special menu for our liking, and everything was prepped so beautifully. All 8 of us licked the plates clean! Each of the 4 courses got better as it went on. When Chef Adair left, he left the kitchen even cleaner than when we had arrived! His professionalism and service was incomparable! Must do when in Wine Country .. we look forward to it again soon!
